How Many Bells?

Call Changes

In the introductory page, you had to identify the number of bells ringing when they were ringing rounds. In the ‘How Many Bells? Call Changes’ game, you move up a level and need to do the same for some call change ringing.

Each clip is about 6 changes long… and includes just one change! If you need longer… you can always listen more than once.

With Call Changes, we normally leave the tenor in last place… However, to make things more interesting, we have included the tenor in some of the changes from part 2 onwards, so you will need to decide whether the intention is odd or even….

Example
135246 (Queens) leaves the tenor last, so is effectively a 5 bell call change.
563412 uses all the bells, so is a 6 bell call change.
